Avenged Sevenfold was formed in 1999 founded by singer Matthew Shadows, a classmate of his, Jimmy Sullivan, and Zacky Vengeance. They are joined by bassist Justin Sane, but he leaves in 2001 replaced by Dameon Ash; there is also room in the group for another guitarist, the talented Synyster Gates. Having obtained a stable lineup, the group releases a few demos that procure a signing by the Goodlife Recording label. In July 2001 comes the first album SOUNDING THE SEVENTH TRUMPET, which achieves good success, taking the band around the United States on a promotional tour [continua su Rockol].
