Summer 2023
The Camino de Santiago (AKA Way of Saint James) is by nature immersion in oneself, with nature with the spirituality of a journey that changes the very perception of things.
We have tried to make it accessible to anyone, with a minimum physical preparation, that allows to walk at least the 100 km minimum, set as a goal to receive the Compostela. Each of the participants will be free to travel more or less kilometers, alone, in groups, with new travel companions. The bus is a logistic support, which allows in less days to travel the whole Way. Depending on the conditions on the route, they can change the roads to be covered, the hotels to sleep in, the meal times and partially the stages.
Like any journey, it begins with a single step, to evolve through time and events.
Why go by bus?
The continuous presence of the bus will provide assistance in case of difficulty during the days of walking, you can decide to cover even only part of the planned stages, shortening them according to strength and weather. There will be expert Italian guides for any eventuality and advice throughout the trip. You will be able to lighten your backpack by leaving part of the weight on the bus and bring with you the sticks that are not allowed on the plane, you will get to know the entire French Way from Saint Jean onwards, walk to reach its most important and suggestive points, skipping the less significant, also visiting Pamplona, Burgos, Leon, Ponferrada, Finisterre, Muxia, Valladolid. You will continuously travel the last 115 km thus acquiring the right to receive the Compostela when you arrive in Santiago and you will always sleep in the hotel to rest properly and be able to leave in strength the following day, or if you want to stay in a hostel. Friends and relatives who are not walkers can participate, who will pass the same places with the bus as those who go on foot: you will have the opportunity to visit some of the most beautiful cities in Spain as well as Lourdes, Carcassonne and Avignon in France. Or you can fly home from Santiago or Madrid with fewer days left.
