    40 years after their first historic performance in Italy, in 1985 at the Sanremo Festival, Duran Duran return to Italy with four unmissable dates. The British band will be in the capital on 15 and 16 June, in the 15,000-seat arena built for summer events. This will be followed by a concert at the Fiera del Levante in Bari on 18 June while, on the 20th, they will perform at Milan's I-Days at the Ippodromo Snai San Siro.     In 1978 keyboardist Nick Rhodes, a DJ in a Birmingham club, and guitarist John Taylor founded a band named after a character in the film ‘Barbarella’. They are initially joined by Stephen Duffy, singer, and Simon Colley, bass player. The latter leave convinced that the group ‘isn't rock enough’, and Duffy alone has a noteworthy solo career. The new singer, former Tv Eye Andy Wickett, brings with him drummer Roger Taylor. The four of them, having made a demo with the song ‘Girls on film’, lose Wickett, who forms World Service. In 1980, Andy Taylor was hired as guitarist, and his namesake John switched to bass. Shortly afterwards, the group hired a university student named Simon Le Bon as singer.
