Eric Patrick Carr, in art Eric Clapton, born in Surrey, on March 30, 1945. Stands out in the early 60s as solo guitarist of small bands: first- with Paul Jones and Brian Jones- he played in the Roosters; then collaborated with Casey Jones and the Engineers and after between 1964 and 1965 received an assignment of prestige in the Yardbirds.  Having left the group in controversy with the band's beat turn, he then landed in John Mayall's Bluesbreakers, where he earned the nickname "slowhand", "manolenta", which accompanied him for the rest of his career. With Mayall he recorded only one LP, but a historical one: BLUESBREAKERS in 1966.
