Barone Pizzini is one of the oldest wineries in Franciacorta and was the first winery to produce Franciacorta from certified organic viticulture, i.e. using only natural substances for the cultivation and nourishment of the vines or that man can obtain with simple processes, without use chemicals, herbicides, GMOs, fertilizers or synthetic pesticides. A precursor in Franciacorta, since the end of the 90s Barone Pizzini has converted the vineyards to organic farming and as regards those of the Pievalta estate in the Castles of Jesi, he follows the strict rules of the Biodyvin certification.
Barone Pizzini has chosen the path of biodiversity to keep the plant healthy and produce quality wines, therefore using only organic substances to support fertility; sulfur and copper, in controlled quantities, for the containment of parasites. To the richness and integrity of the grapes obtained in the vineyard in compliance with the dictates of organic viticulture, we add the great care in the cellar during all moments of production: each phase has the aim of highlighting the territory and allowing each vineyard to express themselves. The organic approach is cultural, it involves choices and values and is the starting point of a path made of research and innovation.
