International Trade Fair and Festival on Tech and Digital Innovation
The engines are warming up for the 11th edition of WMF, International Trade Fair and Festival on Techand Digital Innovation. The event, set for June 15, 16 and 17, 2023, will again take place at the Rimini Expo Centre: there will be 10 pavilions this year ready to host training, business, networking, culture, music, shows and entertainment. During the 3-day event, participants will be able to take part in more than 100 events involving companies, organizations, sponsors, institutions, innovators, startups, research institutes, makers and SMEs, for a great event under the banner of innovation and a packed agenda.
More than 60.000 people are expected to attend this new edition of the WMF, which has + 90 training stages on the agenda, the participation of more than 1,000 speakers , more than 600 exhibitors and 1.300 startups and investors. The WMF is thus confirmed as the international benchmark event for the digital tech sector, bringing together speakers, guests, exhibitors and participants from all over the world each year, creating a true network that works together to build a better future through the tools of digital and innovation.
The Mainstage, vertical events and guests
The WMF 2023 Mainstage is preparing to host personalities from the world of technological and digital innovation, entertainment personalities, creators, institutional representatives, and internationally renowned artists. Participants will be able to attend inspirational talks, educational moments on topics such as sustainability, entrepreneurship, social impact but also artificial intelligence and robotics. Also highly anticipated is the Startup Competition final, which will take place on the Mainstage and is part of the World Startup Fest events. On the Mainstage, ample space will be given to future trends and examples of state-of-the-art robotics such as Robot Sophia, the humanoid robot from Hanson Robotics who will also be present at WMF this year as a co-host. Numerous concerts are scheduled during the three-day event, thanks to the presence of artists such as Samuel Romano, Dargen D'Amico, N.A.I.P, Lucariello and Dardust.
Events dedicated to Innovation and Entrepreneurship at WMF
Highly anticipated is the 11th Startup Competition, the largest international competition for startups: the 6 finalist startups will compete on the Mainstage to win prizes from sponsors, incubators and investors. Also inside the Expo Centre is the Startup District, where more than 350 startups from all over the world - including those selected during the WMF International Roadshow and Italian Roadshow stages - will be able to present their realities, products and innovative ideas to the vast Festival audience. Also active is the Startup Stage, where innovative entrepreneurial realities will be able to present products and services to a highly profiled audience.
The WMF Expo Area
There are 10 pavilions of the Rimini Expo Centre that will host the WMF in this edition: the Expo Area will expand further, including thematic districts and open stages dedicated to innovation in digital-tech, culture and social issues. Wide space will be given to artificial intelligence in the AI District, where innovative applications related to robotics, business and education will be presented, as well as products, software, services and the latest innovations in AI brought by Italian and international companies. Inherent to the sphere of new technologies is the Maker&Tech District, a space dedicated to tech innovation where research institutes, Makers and innovative SMEs will be able to present their projects and products ranging from robotics to drones and the most innovative products related to sectors such as automotive, while Martech & E-Commerce District is the district where Web Agency, Tool, E-commerce services and major digital players will be able to present their solutions during the 3-day event. The Book District will feature the stands of Apogeo, Flaccovio, Hoepli and Flacowski, while the Creator District will host digital professionals, called upon to share their experiences in the field of content creation, creating an unmissable opportunity to meet and compare with their communities present at the WMF and with digital and pr agencies. Innovative entrepreneurship and Open Innovation players will be gathered in the Startup & VCs District, the exhibition area dedicated to Startups, Scaleups, Accelerators, Incubators, innovative SMEs and investor delegations from all over the world. Within it, events, initiatives and B2B meetings are scheduled to encourage startups to meet with investors, incubators and international players, while attendees will be able to discover innovative projects and services offered by the more than 350 startups present with a stand at the Expo Centre.
Digital Job Fair
The fair dedicated to professionals and companies in the digital-tech sector within the WMF. An appointment that encompasses more initiatives within it, such as the free placement service between companies and professionals looking for work, speed meetings with exceptional partners, a room dedicated to the presentation of companies looking for ITC personnel, an Exhibition Area dedicated to meeting with major players in the world of Innovation are just some of the events scheduled during the Digital Job Fair.
